The high quality craftsmanship and detail of this weekender is obvious in both the handwoven fabric and the leather work. The huipil, traditional blouse is from Chichicastanengo, a well known Mayan village in the highlands of Guatemala. Handwoven on a backstrap loom, the detail in the weaving is gorgeous. There are two leather carrying handles as well as an adjustable leather strap allowing versatility in carrying this bag. The bottom of the bag is made of leather and is studded with metal feet for added protection. Inside the bag, you will find a lining made of cotton lining fabric and a zippered pocket. There is an additional large zippered pocket on the outside of the bag. This bag measures 25 inches wide and 17 inches deep, meeting carry on size regulations for airlines.
